Young and the young at heart were out for a ball on Monday … ball hockey that is.
Jackie Ranahan of the Centre Wellington Ball Hockey Club said this particular Family Day event was sponsored by Zehrs Fergus.
The store rented the facility to allow for Family Day shinny in addition to providing hot dogs, hot chocolate and cookies in conjunction with the Kraft Hockey Goes On program.
Zehrs Fergus store manager Jeremy Hewitt explained that Zehrs joined with Centre Wellington Ball Hockey to stage the event.
The result was a donation for two hours of road hockey for the day and sponsorship for the Centre Wellington ball hockey team.
“We’re out here for Family Day and have some fun and play a couple of games of hockey,” said Hewitt.
