DRAYTON – Drayton Entertainment presents the story and music of Canada’s most celebrated songwriter in Early Morning Rain: The Legend of Gordon Lightfoot, which is at the Drayton Festival Theatre for two concerts on Sept. 21 at 2 and 7:30pm. 

MAPLETON – Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash here on Monday morning involving a paramedic response vehicle.

MOUNT FOREST – Both closures were announced last-minute via social media and hospital officials did not notify the media about them.

MOUNT FOREST – Public health officials say "a young woman was bitten by a dog described as black and white brindle" on Sept. 4 at about 11:30am on Queen Street in Mount Forest.

MOUNT FOREST – According to a hospital Facebook post, the department will close on Sept. 6 (Friday) at 3pm and reopen on Sept. 7 (Saturday) at 7am.

DRAYTON – Trees for Mapleton marked the completion of the W. Paul Day Forest project with a tree-planting ceremony on Aug. 31 at Drayton's Riverside Park.

KENILWORTH – Wellington North council is helping to ensure the Lynes Blacksmith Shop gets its new roof as planned this fall by approving an interest-free loan for the project.

KENILWORTH – Three unique works of art have been chosen to commemorate Wellington North Township’s 25th anniversary.

PALMERSTON – The Palmerston Fall Fair opened with an announcement to pledge $50,000 over five years to the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation’s MRI+ Campaign on Aug. 17.
