Business Profile: Dynafit-Dynamic Fitness is ready to help customers with goals

Resolutions abound in January, and the team at Dynafit-Dynamic Fitness in Drayton is ready to help customers achieve their fitness goals for 2013 and beyond.

Keeping healthy is a huge priority for the staff at Dynafit and providing a quality service to allow others to stay fit is a very high priority for owners and operators Chris Kurz, Zack Vines and Joe Heenan. Often, people have the desire to become fit, but don’t know where to start. And that’s where the team at Dynafit steps in – literally. All three have held a lifelong passion for personal fitness. Heenan is the familiar face in Drayton along with staff members Mari-Anne Tinholt and Hilary Reibeling. These two ladies bring friendly smiles and a great work ethic to the fitness centre. They are always willing to help with any questions and concerns. The staff offers years of experience in the fitness industry and is excited about the personal achievements its clients have attained since opening the Drayton location in 2010.

In an effort to remain current, Dynafit recently added a nutritional component to its regimen. As the fitness industry evolves, it is becoming quite evident that nutrition plays a huge role in attaining results, improving health and looking great. With a newly-established Nutrition Coaching Program, Dynafit is able to give clients what they need to see results. With so much information on TV and the internet, people often become very overwhelmed and try to do everything all at once. This often leads to short-term success and ultimately, failure. “We take pride in educating people on how to eat whole foods and achieve the body that they want through quality nutrition and foods they love,” Heenan states.

Dynafit’s success has also led to a redesign to create more floor space to accommodate members as well as the addition of new gym equipment. The gym contains a complete array of advanced fitness equipment including, ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, free weights, weight machines and more. As an added bonus, the gym offers a 24-hour access system for clients who are unable to work out during regular gym hours. Once you are a member the gym is never closed. Dynafit offers state-of-the-art personalized fitness/training programs featuring private one-on-one personal training which is available at any time to provide a schedule that is flexible for those looking to take advantage of this service. If you require additional help outside of staffed hours, the team is more than happy to schedule an appointment at your convenience.

State-of-the-art equipment, nutritional guidance and experienced and expert personal training are all key components of a great gym, but Dynafit goes above and beyond by providing personal incentives to get clients in the gym and moving. Recently 35 people signed up for Dynafit’s first ever 12-week challenge and collectively lost over 400 pounds. This challenge included a step-by-step workout routine, goal setting and nutritional strategies with the incentive of a $2,000 cash prize. Participants were given a ballot each time they met the 12-week challenge routine. Leanne Graham of Palmerston was the winner. Due to the great success of the program, the 12-week Challenge will be offered again in 2013

But even if the will power, blood, sweat and tears are in place, sometimes gym fees can make people shy away from a gym. Recognizing this, Dynafit has recently lowered membership costs to make the gym experience budget friendly (there is no initiation fee). They offer anywhere from one month memberships to one year memberships (24-hour access included). A one year membership is $365 (plus tax), so for just a “buck” a day clients can make 2013 a “fit” year.

Making Mapleton Township a priority, Dynafit sponsors the local Terry Fox Run, MS Ride and Relay for Life. Dynafit also proudly ran the power skating program for Drayton Minor Hockey in 2012. Dynafit believes that being active at a young age, learning basic training strategies and having fun while doing it can keep people active for years to come.

Dynafit takes pride in providing the community with quality service and results.

“A healthy community is a happy community. We want to educate everyone on how easy and enjoyable it can be to get, stay and be fit,” says Heenan.

Dynafit is open 24 hours, seven days a week to members. Staffed hours are Monday to Thursday 4 to 8pm and Saturday 9am to12pm. If these hours don’t suit, the staff is also available by appointment, which can be set up by calling 519-638-2100 or emailing jheenan@dynafitexercise.com

Make 2013 your Dynafit year. Their location is 89 Wellington St. S. plaza in Drayton.
