DRAYTON - It was a full house at the Drayton United Church on March 18 for the quarterly meeting of 100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington.

I’m often asked the question: “Should I bring my kids to the funeral?” While this is not a one-size-fits-all answer, I would say yes. 

MOUNT FOREST – It is never too early to think about estate and funeral planning. 

MOUNT FOREST –  When it comes to death and dying, RoseAnne Desmarais, a “death doula” and member of the End of Life Doula Association of Canada, believes talking about it can bring comfort and help people “live every moment.”

FERGUS – The way people say goodbye and honour lost loved ones has changed in the past several decades. 

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Most of our canine companions go outside multiple times a day – a walk around the neighbourhood, playing in the backyard, visiting the local dog park – but their kitty cat counterparts rarely have the same opportunities. 

FERGUS – The story of Anne of Green Gables the Musical, presented by Playful Fox Productions, was a hit with all ages on the weekend of March 22, 23 and 24.

FERGUS - A seminar called Puppetry: Wearing Many Hats, held on March 24 at the Fergus public library, featured Puppets Elora chaired by Annerose Schmidt and her hand-made puppets.

ALTON – Headwaters Arts third members’ show of 2024 titled, “Rejuvenation”, fills the Headwaters Arts Gallery with unique, vibrant and colourful works that depict each artist’s interpretation of the “brushing away of winter” and the exciting new possibilities that spring brings.
