CLIFFORD – The Clifford Rotarian Celebration Square is functioning with a new LED sign under the clock.

ARTHUR – The Arthur Business Improvement Area (BIA) has purchased two sets of  banners and put them up through downtown. 

CLIFFORD  – Thanks to about 60 volunteers from Clifford and the surrounding community, 1,000 white spruce, Norway spruce and tamarack seedlings were planted in fields by the trail near the wastewater treatment facility in Clifford on May 11.

HARRISTON – The annual Harriston and District Horticultural Society Garden Festival took place at the Harriston-Minto Community Complex grounds on June 1.

ARTHUR – Lifetime Lumber Products held a ribbon cutting ceremony to announce their shop’s grand opening in Arthur on June 1. 

MOUNT FOREST – County residents have a new event to add to their summer calendars. 

ARTHUR – The Arthur Sandwich House officially opened its doors with a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on May 31. 

 MINTO – The Réseau Supporting Performing Arts in Rural and Remote Communities (SPARC) Network held its biennial symposium in Minto from May 23 to 26.

MINTO – Minto Firefighters held their annual breakfast in the Harriston Arena on June 1. Over 700 lined up for pancakes, eggs, hash browns and sausage prepared by local firefighters. 

PALMERSTON – The Grey Wellington Theatre Guild (GWTG) is the recipient of a $4,000 donation from The Palmerston Blessings to You Centre. 

ARTHUR – Arthur Optimist Club held its Annual Kids Fishing Derby, on June 1.

PALMERSTON – The Norwell District Secondary School girls soccer team travelled to Brantford on May 27 after a strong regular season led it to qualify for the CWOSSA tournament.
