Coldpoint Holdings Ltd. is the 2016 holiday hero for the Children’s Foundation Adopt-A-Family Program.

Every year, the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington goes on the hunt for a seasonal home for the Adopt-A-Family program, relying on the generosity of a local business to provide them with a donated space to set up their Santa’s Workshop, organizers state in a press release.

This year the Children’s Foundation has a home at 69 Huron Street, thanks to the generosity of Coldpoint Holdings Ltd., John Wood and Susan (Wood) Frasson.

Last year, the Adopt-A-Family program helped 934 families during the holidays and having a space that can handle such a huge volume is crucial, organizers state.

The space at 69 Huron Street, recently used for the Guelph library’s giant book sale, is big enough at 30,000 square feet, and the team of volunteers is eager and ready to move in and set-up Santa’s Workshop, organizers say.

Donor sign-up for the Adopt-A-Family program is now underway.
