It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Emmerson of Palmerston, formerly of Clinton, Ontario. Born May 6, 1940, to Harold and Loretta (Currie) Emmerson. Bob’s life was defined by strength, service, and devotion to family and community. For over 30 years, Bob served as CEO of Palmerston and District Hospital, where his leadership and perseverance helped secure its future. A proud member of the Palmerston Lions Club for nearly 60 years, he gave tirelessly to countless community projects. Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife Diane (McKenna) for 54 years. Loving father of Jason Emmerson of Stratford, Julie and Nathan Bernier and Josie and Rob McLaughlin of Palmerston. Cherished grandfather of Mallory, Tyler, Niah, Lauren and Calla. Brother in law of Susan Comley, Lucy and Phil Hepworth and Peter McKenna. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Loretta (Currie) Emmerson, Mother and Father in law Catherine (Bowman) McKenna and Peter McKenna. To honour Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Please join the family for a celebration of life at the Palmerston Community Centre on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 1:00-5:00pm with remembrances at 3:00pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation or Palmerston Lions Heritage Park would be appreciated.
