Guelph Little Theatre presents Alice in Wonderland

GUELPH – Falling down a rabbit hole has never been more fun than in this magical play based on the book by Lewis Carroll, Alice In Wonderland, officials say.

Guelph Little Theatre is presenting the play Dec. 4 to 14 at 176 Morris St., Guelph.

When a bored little girl named Alice suddenly sees a white rabbit speaking and entering a hole in the ground, she has no idea what adventure she will embark on.

Wandering through the wild and wonderful cast of characters that fill Wonderland, Alice grows (literally and physically) to miss the world she came from, a world that while less fun, at least makes more sense.

Directed by Rosalind Slater and Diane Montgomery, Alice In Wonderland brings to life Carroll’s famous characters, such as the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat, with a cast of over 50 actors on the stage of Guelph Little Theatre.

With the help of a new LED screen, the audience is transported through mushroom patches, zany tea parties and deadly games of chess with the Queen of Hearts on the wildest adventure of absurd fun, officials say.

The show is appropriate for all ages and will be the second show of Guelph Little Theatre’s 90th season.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and students and group rates are available. Show times are 7pm on Dec. 4, 5, 6, 12 and 13; and 2pm on Dec. 6, 7, 13 and 14.
