Youth photography workshop at Arboretum

How can nature inspire youth to take great photos? Sign children for a workshop at The Arboretum on May 6 from 10am to 4pm and find out.

Focus on Nature is a non-profit, educational program that inspires young people to explore and connect with nature through photography.  Local photographers and trained volunteers will deliver the day-long workshop, guiding participants through the creative elements of design, and mentoring them in photography and natural science as they explore the beautiful Arboretum grounds.

The workshop includes an interactive photography lesson, experiential photography and nature activities, and opportunities for students to edit and share their images with their classmates. The workshop is designed for children aged 11 to 16. The guest instructor is Simon Bell and the registration fee is $65 plus HST.  For more information or to register by the deadline of April 27, call The Arboretum at 824-4120 extension 52358.
