Youth opinions sought to look at uses for old Mount Forest arena

Sometimes all it takes is a fresh look at an old issue.
Councillors here will soon be holding an open forum for the youth of Wellington North to take a look at options for the current Mount Forest arena once the new community centre is up and running.
The forum offers young people chance to use their voice to make a difference in the community.
When the idea came up at council recently, Mayor Mike Broomhead explained there are students at Wellington Heights Secondary School who want to bring forward ideas on how to keep young people more active in the community and who wanted a chance to speak to council directly.
Broomhead hoped the meeting could involve not only council, but recreation staff.
As a result a day meeting is set up for Nov. 22 from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at the Community Centre in Mount Forest.
