Wildflower workshop on July 13

The latest workshop here is for those interested in going beyond the wildflower field guide.

On July 13 from 9:30am to 4:30pm participants will join guest naturalist Richard Aaron in a workshop as he explores the hidden lives of the Arboretum’s summertime flora.

Through discussions and hands-on exercises, participants will explore the natural history, ecology, and lore of dozens of wildflowers. From plants that were studied by Charles Darwin to little-known uses of milkweed, participants should be prepared to go “beyond the field guide.”

Participants should bring their favourite wildflower field guide and a hand lens if they have one.

The registration fee is $75 plus HST and the registration deadline is July 6. For more information or to register call The Arboretum at 824-4120 extension 52358.
