Wellington North hires director of operations

Wellington North has hired Brent Lauber for the new director of operations position, effective April 30.

Township officials say Lauber has an infrastructure, engineering and public works background, offering 12-plus years of experience in capital planning and projects, operations, maintenance strategy, water resources, asset management, compliance and performance/continuous improvement initiatives.

“Lauber brings a unique balance of analytical depth, adaptability and experience working with diverse stakeholders in both the public and private sectors,” states a township press release.

“He embraces the idea that council, staff and other internal/external stakeholders must have the opportunity to act together to solve problems and to work for the progress of the Township of Wellington North.”

Lauber is a University of Guelph alumnus (Bachelor of Science in environmental sciences) and has achieved the C.E.T and PMP designations.

“We are very pleased to have Brent join the Wellington North team in the newly created director of operations position,” said Mayor Andy Lennox. “He embraces a service-centric delivery model that we feel will fully support the township’s strategic ambitions.”
