Wellington North Farmers”™ Market calls for vendors

The Wellington North Farmers’ Market is calling all vendors interested in participating in the market to get their vendor applications in as soon as possible.

This year the market will run on Friday afternoons from 3 to 6:30pm at the Victory Community Centre on King Street East, Mount Forest. The season will run from May 25 to Oct. 5.

“A farmers’ market is a good opportunity for the community to connect. It allows us to buy from and support our local farmers and producers, thus contributing to our local economy,” said Wellington North economic development officer Dale Small.

“Last year was our best market ever with over ten high quality full time vendors each week and we are pleased to give our residents and visitors the opportunity to experience agriculture close up and hear the story of where their food came from, straight from the person that grew and prepared it.”

The Wellington North Farmers’ Market is once again being brought to you by the collaboration and support of participating vendors, the Township of Wellington North, Wellington North Cultural Roundtable, Mount Forest Victory Church and Taste Real.

The farmers’ market thanks pastor Harry Engel of the Victory Community Church who for the fifth year is continuing on in his role of market manager.

Interested vendors are asked to contact Dale Small at the Township of Wellington North and vendor applications and other information can be found at www.simplyexplore.ca.
