Volunteers receive pins from Groves foundation

Thirty eight volunteers were honoured at the annual general meeting for the Groves Hospital Volunteer Association on Nov. 16.

Members who volunteer in various ways at the hospital received pins for their service.

Twelve members received three-year pins, nine members received five-year pins, seven volunteers received 10-year pins, six members received 15-year pins, two members received 20-year pins and two volunteers received pins for 25 years of volunteering.

The Volunteer Association also presented a donation of $10,000 to the Groves Hospital Foundation during the meeting.

“The foundation congratulates Groves Hospital Volunteer Association on over 80 years of service to our community,” said Lori Arsenault, executive director of Groves Hospital Foundation.

Since 2002, the volunteer association has donated over $2.16 million to Groves Hospital Foundation.
