Vision Theatre looking for Miss Marple

Vision Theatre Productions is hosting auditions for Agatha Christie’s A Murder Is Announced.

This play is a favourite among Agatha Christie lovers as it features the infamous Miss Marple.

The story begins when a strange announcement is placed in the local paper revealing a planned murder at the Victorian Home of Miss Letitia Blacklock.

The victim is not one of the several occupants of the home, but of an unexpected and unknown visitor.

What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities and a second death.  A determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns with Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution.

This year Vision Theatre Productions is pleased to welcome Simon Leibovitz as its director. He has been involved in theatre throughout Ontario for more than 30 years.

“I love Agatha Christie plays and stories and have experience with her material as an actor in, And Then There Were None as well as Ten Little Indians, and three times with The Mousetrap, ” he said.  “I am looking forward to A Murder is Announced with its wide variety of roles, number of roles for females and males, and with a great age range.”

Auditions will take place on Nov. 11 from 7 to 10pm and  again on Nov. 14 from 1 to 4pm at 151 St. David Street North, in Fergus. Auditions can be booked by calling 226-384-5425.
