Vandals hit church

Police are looking for clues after a Mennonite church here was hit by vandals who spray painted obscenities on several items on the property.

On June 4 at about 9:50am Wellington County OPP officers received a call from the deacon of the Mennonite Cedarvale Church on the 11th Line of Minto advising that the church and property had been vandalized sometime overnight.

Police say suspect/s spray painted obscenities on the church, garden shed, garbage bin and playground equipment, using different colours of spray paint.

It is expected to cost approximately $500 to clean up the damage. The investigation is still ongoing.
