On May 2 at approximately 6:45pm Wellington County OPP received a call to assist the Mount Forest Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) underneath the bridge on Main Street South here.
Police say three youths were walking underneath the bridge, where there is a man-made waterfall. One male, aged 16 of Wellington North Township, was walking along a narrow ledge and attempted to sit down. He allegedly lost his footing and fell approximately 10 feet onto a concrete pad below.
The male was assisted by the Mount Forest Fire Department and was taken by ambulance to the Louise Marshall Hospital. Minor injuries were reported.
