UGDSB launches survey for families wanting to change mode of learning

GUELPH – The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is providing families the option to change between in-person and remote school learning.

All families wishing to change their mode of learning must complete the intent to change survey between Oct. 14 and 21.

It will be posted on Oct. 14 at www.ugdsb.ca/survey. Only those wanting to change from their current placement are to fill out this survey.

If a survey form is not completed by the deadline date of Oct. 21 at 4pm, the student’s current learning mode status will remain.

Students in elementary school will have three options:

  • switch to synchronous (aka real-time) remote learning for Nov. 30;
  • switch to asynchronous (aka not real-time) remote learning for Nov. 30; and
  • switch to in-person school learning for Nov. 30.

Students in secondary school will have two options:

  • switch to remote learning for Nov. 16; and
  • switch to in-person learning at their home school for Nov. 16.

The first day of classes for students in their new mode of learning will be Nov. 16 for secondary students (the start of quadmester two) and Nov. 30 for elementary students.
