Two people found dead in Fergus home
Two people were found dead in a north Fergus home on Wednesday morning.
Wellington County OPP officers went to the house on Sideroad 18 near Beatty Line on Dec. 21 at about 9:30am to "check on the well-being of the occupants," stated an OPP press release.
"Upon arrival, police discovered two adult persons deceased in the home."
The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit, led by Detective Inspector Colleen McCormick of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), is investigating, assisted by the OPP Forensic Identification unit.
"Though this appears to be an isolated incident the OPP always encourages citizens to take necessary precautions to promote their own safety and security," police stated in the press release.
