TRILESKY, Kenneth
(1965 – 2026)
With deep sadness, we share the passing of Ken Charles Vivian Trilesky. Ken was a devoted father to his daughters, Sarah and Allison, whom he shared with Linda. He was the cherished son of Helen Trilesky and was predeceased by his father, Don Trilesky. He will be remembered by his extended family, including his family on Linda’s side, and many dear friends. As a boy, Ken was an active Boy Scout. Throughout his life, he carried forward meaningful, deep-rooted friendships from both his early school years and his time at Canadore College. He carried that same loyalty and connection into his career, where he spent his entire working life with one company, Field Aviation, building not only a career, but many lasting friendships along the way. He was a deeply involved and supportive father, sharing his interests and passions with his daughters. Whether coaching their hockey teams or spending time together outdoors, he created memories that will be treasured forever. Some of those moments were uniquely Ken, whether it was time in their forest wearing dinner jackets, or spontaneous drives in his classic car. He also had a passion for travel and took great pride in showing his daughters the world, creating lasting memories through trips both near and far. A proud and loyal Pontiac driver, with a particular love for the Pontiac GTO, Ken was a valued member of the Belwood Lake Car Club, where he formed many meaningful connections. After his diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Ken faced his illness with remarkable resilience, determination, humility, and grace. He was deeply appreciative of the compassionate care and support he received from the team at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, as well as the staff at Avalon Retirement Lodge, who formed deep bonds with him over the past 18 months. Ken’s kindness, spirit, and perseverance left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten. He showed us that the true measure of a life well-lived is not in its length, but in the hearts we touch and the lives we enrich – and Ken did both in abundance. In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of the support he received, donations to ALS Canada in Ken’s honour would be appreciated. Contributions to his virtual walk, planned for this June, can be made here: https://alscanadawalktoendals.als.ca/ontario2026/ken-with-als. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Graham A Giddy Funeral Home Ltd., 280 St. David St. S. Fergus, ON N1M 2L5, (519) 843-3100. A private interment will be held at Elora Municpal Cemetery. Visit www.grahamgiddyfh.com for Ken’s online memorial.
