Tractor rollover
Police responded to a serious injury resulting from a farm accident here last week.
On Oct. 8 at about 1:45pm, Wellington County OPP officers received a report that a farm tractor rolled on top of and trapped a Minto man on the 13th Line near Highway 9 in Minto.
Police say the 61-year-old operator was on private property when a wheel of the tractor entered the ditch, causing it to roll.
The Town of Minto Fire Department attended the scene to lift the tractor off the man.
Police say the man, who received serious injuries, was taken by Guelph-Wellington EMS to a local hospital and then airlifted to a Hamilton hospital.
As of Oct. 15, the victim remained in hospital in serious condition, police said.
