‘Toys in the Attic’ is theme of Nov. 24 Aberfoyle parade

ABERFOYLE – This year’s Santa Claus Parade here is on Nov. 24 at 2pm.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Toys in the Attic.”

Each year, the Optimist Club of Puslinch holds the parade on the fourth Sunday in November.

Participants are asked to be at the Puslinch Township fire hall by 1pm on parade day.

The parade begins at the township office on Wellington Road 34 and proceeds east to Brock Road/Wellington Road 46 then south to Maple Leaf Lane, west on Maple Leaf Lane and into the Optimist Recreation Centre (ORC).

Santa will arrive at the ORC to greet each of the children with a bag of goodies and pose for photos (bring your camera).

There is also free hotdogs, hot chocolate, Christmas music and goodie bags for the children. Children can put their letters to Santa in the mailbox – he will answer all of them. Be sure to include a return address on the letter so Santa knows where to reply.

Organizers thank the many companies, organizations and individuals for their donations in support of the parade. Any excess funds are donated to the Christmas “Adopt a Family Program” organized by the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.

Bring along a non-perishable food item or items for the food bank and the items will be picked up along the parade route.

To enter a float or character in the parade, to donate, or for more information, call 519-763-0309.
