Top marks

Water quality in Wellington North received top marks in a recent Ministry of the Environment inspection of facilities in Arthur and Mount Forest. It is the second year in a row the municipality has received a top rating.

Councillor Sherry Burke, chair of the water and sewer committee, announced the ratings to council at its meeting Jan. 28.

“Both Mount Forest and Arthur drinking water systems received 100 per cent,” she said.

Burke said the rating is due to the “outstanding” work done by water employees. The councillor also noted that one of the inspections was an unannounced visit by the MOE.
