Someone must have been really thirsty early in the morning here on March 18.

Bortolato reported that at about 4:10am Wellington OPP learned a man was breaking into a soft drink machine located at the Foodland Grocery Store, on Alma Street in Rockwood.

He said police went to the scene and patrolled the area but did not locate the suspect.  Extensive damage was done to the vending machine. The suspect is described as a  middle aged male with hair tied back in a pony tail, and wearing a winter coat with a light coloured stripe down each sleeve.

Canoe, trailer stolen

PUSLINCH – Police are looking for the person who stole a canoe and trailer here on March 18.

Bortolato reported that Wellington OPP received a report that a 16-foot green canoe, along with a black and grey trailer, were stolen from a residence on Wellington Road 34. The theft occurred sometime between March 16 at 8pm and March 17 at 8am.
