Wellington County OPP has had three reports of vehicles being damaged to gain entry during the day by criminals from Feb. 18 to 19.

The entries occurred at a business parking lot between Fergus and Elora, the side of road on the Eighth Line, Centre Wellington Township, and a rural school parking lot in Mapleton Township.

The OPP want to remind motorists to leave valuables at home, place them in the trunk of their vehicles, or hide them so they are safely out of sight of would-be criminals. Should any suspicious person(s) be observed, take note of any vehicle description with the licence plate.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for the thefts should contact Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.crimestoppersguelphwellington.com.
