Theft from vehicle
On Sept. 29 Wellington County OPP received a theft on Alma Street here.
Police say someone smashed a window and entered a vehicle overnight between Sept. 28 and 29 and stole a purse and wallet containing personal identification and bank cards.
“To help prevent future incidents, the OPP would like to remind everyone about the ‘lock it or lose it’ campaign,” police stated in a press release.
The campaign reminds people to lock vehicles and remove valuables and keys, which “helps reduce the motivation and likelihood of property crimes,” police say.
