The Magical Music of Disney coming to the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge

Following last year’s sold-out concerts celebrating the music of Gilbert and Sullivan, Drayton Entertainment and the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra have teamed up once again for another fundraising effort – this time featuring music from some of Disney’s beloved animated films. The Magical Music of Disney will play two performances only on Sept. 27 at 3pm and 7pm.

The audience will experience a tale as old as time as the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra performs arrangements from the archives at The Walt Disney Studio synchronized with timeless animated images from The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Tarzan and more. Drayton Entertainment’s own Neil Aitchison will make a guest appearance as the event narrator. A well-known local speaker and personality, Aitchison starred as the affable Mountie Constable Archibald F. Inkster in Canadian Legends earlier this season.

This is an event for the whole family and a way to introduce children to symphonic music while watching their favourite Disney cartoons.

The Magical Music of Disney has already been performed by 38 orchestras in 25 states, and nine countries around the world over the past three years to over 70,000 people.

“Don’t miss this supercalifragilistic delight for the whole family,” theatre officials state.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for youth under 20 years of age. Tickets for groups of 20 or more are $30 each. HST is applicable to all ticket prices. All proceeds go to charitable programs for Drayton Entertainment and the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.dunfieldtheatrecambridge.com, in person at the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge box office or by calling 519-621-8000 or toll free at 1-855-DRAYTON (372-9866).
