GUELPH – A teenaged girl was arrested last week for spitting on a police officer during a disturbance.
Guelph Police officials say that at about 9pm on Sept. 30, Guelph bylaw enforcement officers attended the area of Auden Road and Eastview Road for a report of several people playing loud music outside.
“Guelph Police were asked to attend after one of the youths threatened bylaw officers with a glass bottle,” police stated in an Oct. 1 press release.
“Police officers arrived and observed a girl hiding behind a vehicle. When they approached she swore at them and spat at one officer, striking his arm.”
A 15-year-old Guelph girl was arrested for assaulting a police officer. Police say she was also wanted for assault on an unrelated matter. She was held for a bail hearing the next day.
