Robert Taylor of Mount Forest is one step closer to claiming his lottery win of $100,000 from Instant Aces and 8s.
As several of Taylor’s family members are employed at an OLG retail location, the prize falls within OLG’s definition of an insider win. The claim has passed the first of a two-step insider wins process, which is an independent investigation of the claim by a third-party working in partnership with OLG’s regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The prize will be held for a 30-day waiting period as part of OLG’s Insider Wins process, in order for OLG to publicize the win. If there are no additional claims on this prize, it will be paid to the claimant on Oct. 1. The ticket was purchased at a Pioneer gas bar on Highway 9 near Harriston.
