Taste for Life event returns to area April 25

The AIDS committee of Guelph and Wellington County is hosting its fourth annual dining out fundraiser known as A Taste For Life.

This year’s event features 17 restaurants in Guelph, Elora, Fergus, and Morriston. This fundraising began 14 years ago in Ottawa and has now grown to include 21 cities and regions across the province that will host  the event in unison on April 25.

Locally, the event asks restaurants from every neighbourhood and in every price range to donate a portion of the days total bill to the committee.

Proceeds raised through the event will be used for continued exemplary service in the area of HIV and AIDS through innovative health promotion strategies and community partnerships in the battle against the ailment.

The committee has provided over 22 years of support and programs for people infected and affected by Human Immunodeficient Virus and Acquired Immunity Deficiency Syndrome in the community.
