Stock4Racers help Special Olympians

For the fourth season running, the North Wellington Bravehearts Special Olympics Sports group is the recipient of a cheque to help athletes cover program costs.

This year at Varney Motor Speedway the Stock4Racers for Special Olympics, formerly known as Hillbilly Racing,   were able to present a cheque at intermission on the racetrack,  in the amount of $3,500 to the Special Olympics group.

Hanover Special Olympics will also receive a cheque in the amount of $500.

Most of the money raised was through a raffle draw, with tickets being offered at the race track as well as through the athletes and drivers.

Stock4Racers for Special Olympics would like to thank all of the businesses that donated prizes for this year’s raffle.

They also thank the staff and management at Varney Motor Speedway for supporting and encouraging their fundraising efforts.
