After sampling the array of vegetable and cream soups and the platters of egg salad, cheese and onion, and salmon sandwiches, many delighted in the sweet treats offered for dessert.

After lunch, there was time to check out the items up for bids in the silent auction. Baby quilts, wood crafts, maple syrup, marmalades, pickled eggs, knitting, gift items, giftware, and plants were plentiful. Another table filled with baking did not last long. A box of hand knit scarves were on sale as well.

The St. John’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League hosted the event with all of the proceeds shared with the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society.

The ladies expressed appreciation to everyone who donated items for the silent auction and bake table or attended the event.
