Centre Wellington Township has just received another $501,852 for its third quarter slots payment.
The township hosts slots at the Grand River Raceway, and the province pays it 5% of the profits for each quarter.
Since the slots opened in 2003, the township has received over $9.1-million, and has designated that money for infrastructure projects.
Because the federal and provincial governments are offering grants for infrastructure work such as roads, bridges, and sewers, the township has been able to leverage its slots cash to triple its infrastructure work.
Centre Wellington township is currently considering a proposal to increase the 200 machines by up to 20 more at the facility.
