Sensational Soup Off stirs up funds for local food bank

Soup celebration – What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than to taste different soups on a cool autumn day. On Oct. 14, Sensational Elora held its Sensational Soup Off at the Wellington County Museum, with all proceeds going to the food bank. This year 18 “soupers” offered samples of their favourite soups. Everything from an onion soup to a traditional squash soup was on offer, with the competition divided into three categories.

A group of enthusiastic young “soupers” enrolled in the food class at Centre Wellington District High School.

Catherine Black enjoys soup with daughter Willow Black-Shortreed from Elora.
