Ruck March will help homeless veterans

GUELPH – A charity roast beef dinner to raise funds for the benefit of homeless veterans will be held at the Guelph Legion, 57 Watson Pkwy. S., on Sept. 13 from 3 to 7pm.

The 6th annual Ruck 2 Remember – Road 2 Recovery event will support the Operation: Leave the Streets Behind initiative.

It also commemorates military, police officers, firefighters and paramedics who have lost their lives in the previous year.

There will be a 150km Ruck March (with full gear) over four days, starting in Mississauga and going to Georgetown on day one, Guelph on day two, Lynden on day three and finishing in Burlington on day four.

Advance tickets to the dinner, where the marchers will be greeted, are $15.
