Public health wants to talk to people about how they keep children safe

How do children get hurt?  How can people keep them safe at home?

For parents and caregivers of children between ages 3 and 4, Public Health officials would like to hear ideas on child safety. Wellingotn Dufferin Guelph Public Health is working with The University of Guelph and three other public health units in Southern Ontario to develop strategies to prevent injuries in children.

“As part of our mandate under the Ontario Public Health Standards, we aim to reduce the number of unintentional childhood injuries in our communities. And, the best place to start is by talking to parents and caregivers of young children,” said Liz Robson, acting program manager for chronic disease and injury prevention.
