Preschool hosts Easter egg hunt at Bissel Park

Things will be hopping on March 30 when the Elora Cooperative Preschool hosts the annual Easter Egg Hunt, dropping 15,000 eggs around Bissell Park.

The event is fundraiser for the preschool and has become a tradition for families from Centre Wellington and beyond.

The egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:30am, with children divided into five separate areas by age category.

Admission requires the purchase of a $5 Easter Egg Hunt wristband, purchased in advance at Peared Children’s Clothing and Toy Boutique, Wellington Veterinary Services or the Elora Cooperative Preschool, or can be purchased at the event.

In addition to the egg hunt there will be crafts, games and a colouring area, plus magic tricks, sponsored by Jesters Fun Factory in Fergus. There will be balloon tricks, bubble wands and face painting offered through the Elora Centre for the Arts.

Three Zumba and Drum Fit classes will be offered for the whole family at 10am, 11am, and noon.

The local fire department and OPP Mounted Unit will be on hand along with St. John Ambulance to provide community outreach and information.

Local vendors will be selling seasonal goods, including Sweet Pea Creations and Little Tree Nurseries, along with coffee and snacks provided by Wreckless Eric.

The preschool will also be raffling off a spring basket of gift items.

The festivities begin at 10am, with the egg hunt starting at 10:30am, and the day’s fun runs until 1pm, at Bissel Park.
