Police looking to identify possible suspects in LCBO thefts

FERGUS – Police are looking to identify three persons of interest after a recent string of thefts from the liquor store here.

And it appears a couple of the thieves may be repeat offenders.

Wellington County OPP officials say they are investigating six separate reports of thefts from the LCBO store at the corner of St. David Street North (Highway 6) and Parkside Drive West in Fergus.

Police did not describe what items were taken but have provided the following details about the incidents/suspects:

  • Jan. 17 at about 5:45pm, one suspect: Caucasian female aged 15 to 20, about 5’7″ tall, with a slim build and long light brown hair;
  • Jan. 20 at about 4:15pm, two suspects: Caucasian man aged 50 to 60, about six feet tall with a medium build and a slight stagger and a second Caucasian man aged 40 to 50, about 5’10” tall, heavy set, with “salt and pepper” hair;
  • Jan. 26 at about 3:15pm, one suspect: Caucasian woman aged 35 to 45, about 5’6″ tall, with dark hair tied up;
  • Feb. 1 at about 12:45pm, two suspects: police say these were the same suspects from the Jan. 20 theft;
  • Feb. 7 at about 2:45pm, one suspect: Caucasian woman aged 35 to 45, about 5’6″ tall, with long brown hair and a nose piercing in right nostril; and
  • Feb. 8 at about 2:45pm, one suspect: police say this was the same female suspect from the Jan. 17 theft.

The OPP “is asking the public for their assistance in identifying the persons of interest,” seen in the photos at the top of this article.
