On Nov. 14 at about 8:20pm, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a break-in in progress at a business on Winer Road.

Police say the complainant returned to his business and observed a blue pick-up truck and a lone male out of the vehicle attempting to force the lock on the gate to the yard.

The complainant confronted the man, who ran back to the vehicle and drove off.  The complainant called police and followed the vehicle until it broke down on Victoria Street in Morriston.

Police say the male was last seen running in the area of Victoria Street and Calfass Road. The male suspect is described as 20 to 25 years old with short hair; 5-feet, 8 inches tall; wearing a reflective safety vest and dark pants; and carrying a small black backpack.

The OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit conducted a search of the area with negative results. The pick-up truck, which was reported as stolen, was examined by police for evidence.
