CENTRE WELLINGTON – Local police have laid another intimate partner violence charge.
A 31-year-old of Guelph was charged with spousal assault in relation to an altercation at a Fergus residence on Oct. 11, according to a police press release.
The accused, whose name was not released, is to appear in Guelph court.
Four charges
GUELPH/ERAMOSA– Wellington County OPP have charged a 42-year-old of Guelph after a domestic-related incident and disturbance here on Oct. 7.
A 42-year-old of Guelph was charged with criminal harassment and three counts of not complying with a probation order.
The accused, whose name was not released, was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Drunk driving leads to crash
GUELPH/ERAMOSA– A Fergus man allegedly crashed a vehicle on Highway 7 here on the evening of Oct. 8.
According to a news release, Wellington County OPP got a report about an erratic driver around 7:30pm prior to a collision.
Police say there were no injuries reported.
Police have charged a 40-year-old Fergus man with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.
He is expected in Guelph court on Oct. 21.
Minor injuries after failing to stop at sign
GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A 50-year-old Cambridge resident has been charged by Wellington County OPP with failing to stop for a stop sign following a three-vehicle crash on Fife Road here around 4:30pm on Oct. 7.
According to a news release, one driver with minor injuries was taken to hospital.
RIDE check nabs suspended driver
PUSLINCH – A Fergus man has been charged after getting snagged in a RIDE program.
According to a news release, on Oct. 9 around 3pm, Wellington County OPP had a RIDE check set up on Gordon Street in Fergus when a 44-year-old Fergus man was discovered behind the wheel with a suspended licence.
He was charged with driving while prohibited, driving while suspended and failing to comply with an order to attend court.
He was held for a bail hearing.
GTA resident charged
CENTRE WELLINGTON – A 47-year-old North York resident was charged with driving while suspended, failing to surrender a vehicle permit, and having no valid permit after being pulled over by a Wellington OPP officer on the afternoon of Oct. 7 on Wellington Road 29.
