OPP put out public plea in armed robbery case

The Wellington OPP Criminal Investigations unit is seeking the public’s assistance as they continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred at the Mac’s Convenience Store located on Elora Street, South, in Harriston.

On May 3, at approximately 4:55am, a lone male entered the store and presented a weapon.

No injuries were sustained during the incident. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The suspect is described as being 5’6” and wearing a black balaclava and camouflage clothing.

He was carrying a black and white CCM hockey bag with bright pink handles and trim.
