Officials seek Guide leaders

For over 100 years, women all over the world have given their time, talents and guidance to the Girl Guides of Canada.

Because of the leaders, girls of all ages are able to embark on new adventures, contribute to their community and meet lifelong friends.

The Guiding movement in the Centre Wellington  area has been growing at a rapid pace, and there is currently a need for more leaders, especially in the Alma and Elora units.

Officials remind potential leaders the time commitment is minimal and no previous experience with Guides is required.

They say volunteer work as a Girl Guide leader also looks great on a resume for anyone heading to college, university or even pursuing a new career opportunity.

Officials want to hear from any local women who have a willingness and the time to share, learn and have fun.
