MISSISSAUGA – Oakville councillor Tom Adams was elected as chair of Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) at the inaugural 2023 board meeting on Jan. 20.

Adams has been a member of CVC’s board of directors since 2011, according to a press release, and this marks his second term as chair.

The CVC board consists of 12 municipal representatives from member municipalities within the Credit River Watershed.

“I thank the board members for their continued support as we focus on protecting, restoring and enhancing our local natural environment,” Adams stated in the release.

“Our board will continue nurturing the connections between our dedicated staff, partners and community that sustain us as we face challenges to our watershed.”
