New volunteers for Erin e-newsletter, calendar
ERIN - Two volunteers have stepped up to help continue the Erin community e-newsletter and events calendar. They will continue the work started by David Spencer, founder of the Erin Residents Association.
Alex Barrett is the new volunteer editor and publisher for the Erin Ontario News e-newsletter. He aims to make more community connections through the service.
“I hope to highlight more local news, events and feel-good stories to raise awareness of the positive attributes of living and working in Erin,” said Barrett.
He works in architectural engineering and design, and volunteers with Erin Hoops and the Centre Wellington Contractors Association.
Laurie DaSilva has volunteered as editor and publisher for the Erin Ontario Events Calendar.
She works for PNR RailWorks Inc. in Guelph, and her current volunteer contributions include serving on the Town of Erin’s Heritage Committee.
“As a relatively new resident to Erin, it is important for me to become involved with the community in which I reside,” she said.
