BRUCEDALE – Amanda Knight has been appointed as clerk for the Township of Guelph-Eramosa, replacing Meaghen Read who has resigned.

Council passed a bylaw for the appointment on July 8, promoting Knight from the position of deputy clerk.

She recently received her Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) designation from the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.

Read, who received her 10-year service award on her last day with the township, has accepted a position with the Town of Milton. She will be the director, legislative and legal services / deputy clerk.
