Nature walks run on Wednesdays

The Arboretum is offering three series of weekly programs of inter­active, hands-on learning for all ages.

Each week a new “natural world” topic will be explored through activities and nature walks. Most programs will take place in Gosling Wildlife Gar­dens. 

Advance registration is re­quired by calling 519-824-4120 extension 52358. The cost is $10 per person per month, and children under 12 are free.    The June Series  of Wed­nesdays starts at 8:30pm.  Programs include: tree identi­fi­cation, bird behavior, amphibians and reptiles, and evolution of plants.

The July Series  for Wednesdays also starts at 8:30pm. The programs include: maple trees, geology, butter­flies and moths, and phero­mones and other natural chemi­cals, and understanding nat­ure’s colors and shapes.

The August Wednesday series runs from 6:30 – 8pm.  Its programs include orienteering, medicinal plant properties, fungi, and wildlife gardening.
