Museum to celebrate Queen”™s birthday

The Wellington County Museum and Archives is hosting a birthday party on May 15 from 2 to 4pm in honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday.

This is Wellington County’s opportunity to celebrate locally.

Organizers are inviting the public to come for tea, and enjoy what the queen herself loves: corgis, cake and cricket.

Corgi owners from the area will be on hand with their dogs, and displays showcasing the Queen’s favourite breed.

Special cake will be served and “crown” cookies for children to decorate.

An exhibit of Royal Memorabilia documenting the Royals in Wellington County, and highlights of the Queen’s life, are on display until the end of June.

Admission to this event is by donation.
