Missing elderly woman found dead in field
An elderly woman reported missing last Friday morning was found dead later that day in a nearby field.
Audrey Wilson, 93, was reported missing on July 22 at 12:30pm, about 45 minutes after leaving her residence, The Royal Terrace on White’s Road in Palmerston.
Wellington County OPP officers started a search and were aided by the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, the canine unit and the OPP helicopter.
At about 5pm the same day, Wilson “was found deceased near her residence in a crop field,” police stated in a press release.
Wellington County OPP officials, who stated the death is not suspicious, thanked members of the public for their assistance.
