Minto lighting up with seasonal events

Several annual seasonal events will be taking place in Minto this month.

The Minto Arts Council’s annual silent auction will begin Nov. 10 with bids received until Dec. 3 on items on display at the gallery on the top floor of the Harriston library (elevator accessible).

The council says the event features, “One of a kind arts and crafts as well as other unique Christmas gifts and décor items” donated by local businesses and individuals. Ladies’ Buy Night is Nov. 16 from 5:30 to 9pm.

The event is the council’s major fundraiser and enables the group to operate the gallery and support local art students and artists as well as the Basement Café Concert Series.
