Market makes shopping experience festive

The Elora Farmers’ Market is celebrating the season by inviting the public to help decorate the market Christmas tree, in a rustic country theme.

On Dec. 15, children are invited to take part in a craft project to make their own Christmas decorations to hang on the market tree or take them home.

A festive food demonstration will be hosted by Peter Skoggard, two-time winner of the Sensational Elora Soup Off. He will share samples and recipes for a small donation to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

Santa will make an appearance at the market on Dec. 22. Families are invited to bring their children and cameras, and enjoy a farmers’ market breakfast, with vendors offering pancakes with local maple syrup, fabulous breads and baking, bacon and eggs and fresh coffee, tea and juices.

The Elora Farmers’ Market has moved indoors to the Paddock Building of the Grand River Raceway, open Saturdays from 9am to 1pm, located at 7445 Wellington County Road 21.
